My Guy

Isaac is my guy. (Besides Brett..)
He is just one of the greatest kids I know.

He is really helpful. -Constantly wanting to help with something or other..
and he's been that way since he was like 15 months.

He's a smart kid. -He loves working on his kindergarten workbook
and writing his name. He's known his alphabet, shapes, and colors since he was 18 months. He's very focused on the things that interest him. He loves science and tools, figuring out how things work and go together.

He's very affectionate. -He's constantly saying "I love you, Mom" and giving me hugs and kisses.
He loves getting one on one attention.

He knows what he wants. -When he says something, he means it. Whenever you ask him, "Are you sure you want that?" it makes him upset, because if he said it, of course he wants it. Once his mind is made up on something, there's no looking back.

He's trusting and kind. -Whenever I tell him, "First I need to do this, and then we can do that," he says, "Okay Mommy." Whenever kids need help getting up from the ground, he's always willing to lend a hand.

He's a good big brother. -He looks out for his sisters. When other little kids are being mean to his sisters, he speaks up and says something like, "Don't yell at my sister!"

His favorite color is green. His favorite shows include Wild Kratts and Super Why. He loves to eat cinnamon toast and cookies. He loves to play with cars, read books, and ride his bike.

He's just an all around excellent kid!
(Not perfect, but perfectly great!)
Love my guy!!!

A New Couch Photo.. er Family photo

My attempts at taking pictures of the kids all together usually
turn out like this.

Somehow, Brett got lucky when he took this picture.
Awww..

Little Ashylyns

This could be a poster child pic..

This one could be too.
-A little of Brett's photo-shopping fun.

Me and my Man

Cousin Emily and the babe

Hee hee!

Sisters

Happy.. oh so happy..

Exploratory mode

Love how the simple things in life are so exciting to the wee ones.

Aww.. Sweet girl

Me and the kiddos
So enthusiastic.

Half decent pic of 'em all

Ashlyn in her new big crib.
Much better than her old little one.
It only had an inch of padding in it. Ack!

Love her thumb-sucking.
It's just too cute!

Grandma and Grandpa Peel were here for a couple weeks.
Forgot to take pictures though. So sad!
We shall be seeing them again soon hopefully,
so we'll have to be sure to take some then.

Peek-a-Boo-Boo

Peek-a-boo!

There's been some good kite-flying weather this
spring. Elizabeth did really well at flying hers!

This picture totally reminds me of myself when I was
a young'n.

Is this cute or sad? ;b

We built a temple out of felt shapes.
Do you see the angel Moroni?

Daddy's bathtime fun.
-Love Ashlyn's look of wonderment.

The weather has been warm half the time
and freezing the other half.
On warm days, we take advantage.
If the kids had it their way, we'd never be inside again.

Mommy Elizabeth

Bright sun!

Last year I CRAVED flowers. I sooo wanted them.
This year I decided if we buy one every so often, it might help.
I planted these a few days ago. Luckily they're still holding up,
despite the snowy days.
Purple Violas and Pink Columbine
Perfect combo, if you ask me.

And then we have a perfect..er.. perfectly silly man.

She was very intrigued by the baby doll inside.

After accomplishing the task of getting the doll out of the stroller,
she played with it for a good 10-15 minutes.
That's a LONG time in baby time.

Poor Isaac bonked his head last week.
Papa called the doctor and the doctor said,
"this kid needs stitches up-on his head."
He was brave though and held still for the doctor.
Good job Isaac!

General Conference weekend was an interesting one,
trying to watch and keep the kids from going nuts..
Loved all that I heard though.
Ashlyn did too. She was trying really hard to get close.

Eating breakfast before conference..

Isaac's attitude face..

Despite his attitude,
Sunday night, before family prayer,
we talked about how the prophet spoke to us during General Conference
and how he likes speaking about giving service.
We told them that service was helping other people.
Then we went on to talk about how they can and do serve
in the family.
I was amazed the next day when both Isaac and Elizabeth
kept asking me for things to do and did A LOT of other things on their own initiative.
One of the things Elizabeth did
was pull the clothes out of the dryer
and put them in the laundry basket.
During dinner time, Isaac insisted on washing the dirty dishes in the sink.
Wow!!! That was just such a great day and
made Mommy feel good. :)
You could tell they were both sooo proud of themselves too.
How cute!

Ashlyn in her boy pajamas.

If you notice real close, you can see her hair sticking up over her ears.
That's what I was TRYING to capture.
Love my baby boo!

Love ALL my kids!!
We're so excited for more warm weather in the near future!!
In the meantime,
Kapeesh!

Happy Li'l Moments

Sisters.

They were just hanging out like this.

Miss Biss

Primary Boy Isaac
He gets excited to tell us all about what he learned in Primary.
Whenever I ask him if he wants to go to preschool,
he always says, "No! Primary class!!"

For FHE,
Isaac taught us what he learned about seeds growing
into big plants. Then we FINALLY got to putt some golf balls.
He'd been waiting for that all day!

Notice Daddy "hiding" in the background.
What a tease-man! Or Cheese man?

Classic Daddy face on Ashlyn..

Awww

Today I put a bow in Ashlyn's hair.
Starting to get long enough for such things..

Love my family-doos!
Heavenly Father knows what he's doin' when he sends 'em!
