Happiness before the storm

We all ended up getting sick later in the day.

Awaiting Thanksgiving lunch

It was my first year to cook a good
Thanksgiving meal.
(Not my first to do a Thanksgiving dinner, however.)
We had Chuck Roast, Yams, Cantelope,
Stuffing, and PIE!!

They loved eating the chocolate pie.
YUM!

I also made cherry. MMmm!

It was fun making pie (for the first time), and even funner eating it!

Later we watched the Charlie Brown Christmas movie.
The kids enjoyed laying on the floor with their cozy blankets,
eating popcorn with juice.

I'm thankful that despite getting sore throats and
runny noses,
we still had an enjoyable Thanksgiving.

Hopefully next year we'll be able to do so with family. :)
